The Day Before the Night Before Christmas

Holy crap! It is the 23rd of December and all through the house, one creature was stirring and shouting out lists of things that need to get purchased before tomorrow. The Husband is off for two weeks and is therefore in charge of all things at home. He decided to take the Kid to daycare so he could "get some last minute shopping" - translation: I have to match the number of gifts you bought me lest I end up sleeping on the sofa on the 25th. I also asked the Husband to buy: wine, champagne, orange juice and toilet paper. One of these is not like the other.

I also took a picture of the living room and said to the Husband "let's keep it like this so that when I come home, I don't kill you". I cleaned a lot over the weekend because I plan to be comatose on the 25th. On the 26th we have friends coming over but at least most of the "deep" cleaning has been done.

Yesterday I met up with a friend, who is back in Wien for a visit, for lunch and then we met up with some more friends at a Christmas Market. I had some apple cinnammononon punsch and now I can officially say I am done with gluhwein and punsch for the season. I can also say that I am officially off my diet until the 27th. Let the games begin!

I just have half a day of work tomorrow and then I am free for 5 days! I cannot describe how excited I am! Oh yes I can, I AM SO EXCITED! I also have been eating my way through crap today and I believe I will need an adrenaline shot to get me to come down. Tonight is thick crust pizza for dinner and then perhaps angioplasty.

I didn't have anything specific to post tonight because nothing terribly exciting happened over the weekend. Which is actually a good thing. That means it was a chillaxed weekend with no need to look up divorce lawyers or boarding schools for toddlers. By 8 he was in his coat and shoes and I was in my fake fur vest and heels. We headed out and rounded the corner and walked through the front gate. A Tova Movie Re-cap: Bram Stoker's Dracula

You all like that I am reviewing films that are over 20 years old, right? I'm like Grandpa Simpson. Today's post is a re-cap of one of my all time favourite Halloween movies EVER. And it isn't just a Halloween movie.. it is so much more. It is Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula. I remember exactly when I saw this film for the first time. We were at my Godmother's cottage in Quebec and my parents and I and my brother headed to the video store. The Way Some People Find my Blog and a Challenge

Now, I am not sure why people read my blog. O.k., there are some reasons that people read my blog... they are interested in autism, they like my use of gifs, they are my friends and want to support me, sometimes I make them laugh, they want to see if they are mentioned in it, they live in Vienna and want to know where I go so they can avoid bumping into me... I don't have a sophisticated stat counter on my blog. The only thing I can really see is the number of page views, which countries those page views are coming from and what people search for and somehow end up on my blog. So I decided today to post the most common terms that bring people to my page. And some of them are amusing. Pros and cons to living in Vienna : This one is pretty understandable.
