Operation Tubetop Giveaway!
Hello Monday! Mondays are hard and the Kid was home sick today. He is doing fine but has a hacking cough. Dropping him off at kindergarten today would have resulted in a phone call shortly thereafter and we would be the asshole parents, coming back to pick him up. I stayed home with him this morning until the Nanny came and then I headed to work and I was happy to see my friend S.R. back from her trip to Miami. She had an amazing time and even took a trip to the Everglades which she said was incredibly terrifying. Before she left, she had expressed some fears:
S.: What if I am eaten by an alligator? Or wait, are they crocodiles?
Me: No, alligators... Of that I am 100 per cent certain.
S.: How?
Me: Because Gatorade is from Florida and Gator- Alligator? See?
S.: (Deep sigh) Anyway, about me being eaten by alligators...
Me: Well, they don't eat you right away. The lock onto your leg or arm and pull you in and then twist you in a death spiral until you stop thrashing. Then they stuff you under a log at the bottom of the river until you start decomposing and then they eat you!
S.: I don't even know what to say to you right now.
So it's good to have her back! Anyway, this post won't be a long one! Instead, it's a post to help me shamelessly self-promote this blog!
