Christmas Recap

Wow, it was a trip. The Kid decided to get the chicken pox over Christmas and then once that started to clear up, he got a terrible cold. It is apparently tradition to get sick over the holidays. My sister had scarlet fever one year and one year I had appendicitis. Obvioulsy we were making damn sure that we'd get awesome gifts.

Apropos awesome gifts, this year I lucked out!

From the Husband:
3 pairs of (slutty impractical) heels. I love them but they are almost impossible to walk in. I have been practicing for the past couple of days.
Lingerie
An awesome over the top keychain. It is so blingy that the Kid tried to decorate the tree with it
Computer speakers shaped like red high heels
A USB coffee cup warmer (I never finish a cup of coffee at home before it gets cold)
A Kindle light
A cute sweater dress
A Bath Butler (I have always wanted one of these)
A hook to hang my purse on tables (I don't know how he knew I wanted one)
UV Gel nail tip kit (I died opening this! SO excited!!!)

The man did well. I showed him affection for a minute. I also got rocking gifts from friends:

A cupcake set and an awesome oven mitt with a fake diamond ring (highlarious)
A cake pop set and nailpolish (can't wait to make cake pops!!)
A Private Benjamin DVD (a very important life changing film for me) and a Swarovski pen (filled with crystals! Squeal!!!)

I also received a Forever 21 gift certificate from the inlaws so that is where I will be heading today. It has truly been an incredible incredible Christmas! I am so lucky!!

Day 5 of sticking to low carb eating and doing well. Stay tuned for updates and fun tutorials (ie. cakepops and gel nails)

I didn't have anything specific to post tonight because nothing terribly exciting happened over the weekend. Which is actually a good thing. That means it was a chillaxed weekend with no need to look up divorce lawyers or boarding schools for toddlers. So, that means that I will write things based on some key words... long story short, lots of short stories. So here we go! The daycare: This morning was my morning to bring the Kid. By 8 he was in his coat and shoes and I was in my fake fur vest and heels. We headed out and rounded the corner and walked through the front gate. A Tova Movie Re-cap: Bram Stoker's Dracula

You all like that I am reviewing films that are over 20 years old, right? I'm like Grandpa Simpson. Today's post is a re-cap of one of my all time favourite Halloween movies EVER. And it isn't just a Halloween movie.. it is so much more. It is Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula. I remember exactly when I saw this film for the first time. We were at my Godmother's cottage in Quebec and my parents and I and my brother headed to the video store. I stood in front of this VHS cover and stared and stared (that's how I would let my parents know I wanted something back in the day. I was not allowed to beg for toys so in my brilliant infantile wisdom, I concocted a full proof plan. I would stand in front of a toy (probably a My Little Pony) and stare and stare and stare. The Way Some People Find my Blog and a Challenge

Now, I am not sure why people read my blog. O.k., there are some reasons that people read my blog... they are interested in autism, they like my use of gifs, they are my friends and want to support me, sometimes I make them laugh, they want to see if they are mentioned in it, they live in Vienna and want to know where I go so they can avoid bumping into me... I don't have a sophisticated stat counter on my blog. The only thing I can really see is the number of page views, which countries those page views are coming from and what people search for and somehow end up on my blog. So I decided today to post the most common terms that bring people to my page. And some of them are amusing. Pros and cons to living in Vienna : This one is pretty understandable.
