Hair Oil and the Stress of Parenting

Oy vay what a weekend. Saturday night, after a session of Wii Sports Resort with the husband, I checked on the kid and noticed he was breathing heavily. I took his temperature and it was high which led me to waking him up and trying to get him to sleep in our bed which he did not want at all. He is obsessed with his crib and I guess I understand why, as his mattress is far superior to ours. Sunday morning came and he was not his usual smartass babbling self so I calmly (who am I kidding, I freaked the eff out) suggested we visit the hospital. Turns out he has a bad ear infection and after about an hour we were given the clear as well as a shopping list of drugs. We spent the day at home, force feeding him antibiotics and Ibuprofen and spraying crap up his nose. I have never felt so helpless and and at a loss as I have these past couple of days. I am not a religious person but yet, when the kid was listless and pale, I prayed to every deity in the pack and might have even promised to stop swearing or something ridiculous like that. It ain't easy watching your kid be in pain and I feel for every parent out there that has to go through the same thing. This morning he only wanted to be held and cuddled (when usually he pushes me away as if to say "Bitch, please, I got trucks to play with") and it broke my cold cold heart to have to leave him to go to work. Parenting ain't awesome sometimes.

So that was my weekend and it led to stress eating which led to me waking up at 4:30 in the morning with indigestion and then I painted my nails and then did a little Wii workout and did I mention that my hair is actually looking fabulous (not right now because I left home with wet hair) but in general...

A co-worker started using a hair oil a couple of weeks ago and swore that it has changed her hair. My hair, having been bleached to death, sat up upon hearing this and leaned forward as if to say "tell me more". Stupid follicles. Know your place. So I decided to try it out and after 3 uses, I am noticing a difference. It is Weleda Haar Oel and available around Vienna. You can either massage it in and wait 15-30 minutes and then wash it out, or, if you could care less about greasy pillowcases, leave it in all night. The husband just loves this! I am being sarcastic. He said something like "it's like sleeping with a kebab.". He has a way with words. But anyway, try this stuff out.. I am convinced it works!
